The Agricultural Program seeks to improve world agriculture while promoting world peace through greater understanding among peoples of diverse cultures. The program is designed to enable the Exchange Visitor to better understand United States agricultural practices, culture, and society and to enhance the American knowledge of foreign cultures and skills providing the opportunity for an open exchange of ideas between the Exchange Visitor and their United States counterparts.
